Trip Overview

Dhaulagiri TrekDhaulagiri trek is great destination for adventure seekers which grading on Adventurous to challenging. Mt. Dhaulagiri was climbed first in 1960 by an international team of Max Eiselin Lucerne and his team. It is located in the western part of Nepal. This Mountain is one of the highest mountains among the 14th highest mountain in the world, which height is (8167m/26.788ft).

This trek start from Beni and after crossing the pass ends at Kaligandaki valley. This is one of the difficult treks listed in Nepal. The route follows the Myagdi Khola west-wards to Darbang, then turns north through lowland forests into the high country. High above much of the route on snow and glaciers as it crosses French Col pass (5240m). Then we round from the head of Hidden Valley, and crosses Dhampus Pass (5155m). On this trek you'll have great chance to encounters with high passes and great views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Sample day on "Dhaulagiri Adventure Trek"

All our treks are managed by a team of professionally trained Leader/guide responsible for all aspects of the running of the trek. Our special departure trek is well versed in the culture and natural history of the Himalayas. Your day start with a cup of hot tea served in your room. A member of the trekking staff followed by a bowl of hot washing water, after which you will be required to pack your luggage and the porters loaded whilst we are having breakfast. After breakfast we set off on the trail, enjoying the pleasant cool of the morning. Your day's trek involves navigating numerous picturesque forests, hills, mountains and the local villages for the next three hours. Around mid-day we usually stop for a pleasant spot along the way for lunch. Your midday lunch break usually lasts around an hour and is a time to relax, pop the boots off and air those feet! Plenty of time is allowed for photograph in the route. After lunch you'll walk another three hours or so, before you stop for the night. You have enough time to change, freshen up, before exploring an area.

Each evening is spent as per your interest for reading or chatting with the fellow trekkers and crew members or a pack of cards is an advantage; the crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Our porters and Sherpa's also like to have singing and dancing competitions in which they love you to join in! Finally, it's off to bed for a well deserved night's rest before you start it all again.

Day 02:  Kathmandu sightseeing
Day 03:  Fly to Pokhara and drive to Beni
Day 04:  Trek to Babi Chaur, 5-6 hr walk
Day 05:  Trek to Dharapani, 5-6 hr walk
Day 06:  Trek to Muri, 5-6 hr walk
Day 07:  Trek to Bagar, 5-6 hr walk
Day 08:  Trek to Dobang, 5-6 hrs walk
Day 09:  Trek to Italian Base Camp, 6-7 hr walk
Day 10:  Acclimatization day (3,660m/12,005ft)
Day 11:  Italian base camp to Dhaulagiri base camp (4,750m/15,580ft), 6-7 hr walk
Day 12:  Trek to French Col (5,360m/17,581ft), 5-6 hr walk
Day 13:  Acclimatization at camp (5,050m/16564ft)
Day 14:  Trek to Dhampus Pass to Yak Kharka, 6-7 hr walk
Day 15:  Trek to Tukuche, 5 hrs walk
Day 16:  Trek to Ghasa, 4-5 hrs walk
Day 17:  Trek to Tatopani (1,200m/3937ft), 4-5 hrs walk
Day 18:  Relaxing day at hot spring
Day 19:  Trek to Ghorepani, 6-7 hrs walk
Day 20:  Pun hill hike and trek to Tadapani, 6-7 hrs walk
Day 21:  Tadapani to Ghandruk, 3-4 hrs walk
Day 22:  Ghandruk to Pokhara, 5 hrs walk & 1 hrs drive
Day 23:  Drive to Kathmandu, 7-8 hrs drive
Day 24:  Leisure at Kathmandu
Day 25:  Departure from Kathmandu.
